Spent about four hours last night playing City Living. It's not quite game-breaking (the lag does annoy me a lot), but it's way too many bugs.
SIMS 4 CITY LIVING MAILBOX PROFESSIONAL
from a professional standpoint, I want to know whether EA pushed them to rush something out the door, or their QA is just not really good and they need to get more people in there to give a solid testing of expansions. But the bugs are really piling up and, honestly. A friend invited Darling to go to a karaoke bar (she eagerly accepted to escape the Romance festival), and then he was pretty much the only person in a five block radius that she couldn't sing a duet with. I also can't figure out why you can't karaoke with some people. And one time, when the most "noise" in the apartment was the couple singing in their showers, not particularly loud and not against a neighboring wall or anything, he screamed at the door about "You're being way too loud and inconsiderate and I'm going to tell on you!" Other times, he'll show up to toss his garbage, then start randomly singing, and he gets visual effects like he's being boosted (which is a lot trait for the apartment, so it seems to be carrying outside the apartment. Stood outside the apartment once, so I talked to him, and that was his invite to waltz right in and do whatever he wants. The thing where everyone resets still happens on occasion (maybe twice in the evening, so not terrible, but it is weird).

I didn't expect her to be upset by it inside the apartment, though. Took her to the Romance festival right downstairs where she was able to get Flirty at times with the tea but was distraught by all the PDAs around her. If Miko and Brandan so much as make a nice comment to each other inside their own apartment, Darling gets Tense as heck. The trait isn't just for public displays of affection, it's for ANY displays of affection. I'm not sure if MC gave it the push or not, but pretty much every apartment is filled now, and while that means more neighbors, it means I'll have to go into Edit World and evict someone if I want to buy their penthouse.ĭarling, the teen roommate, is showing a serious flaw with Unflirty. be careful with "Fill Empty Homes," and maybe with MC. He can still sell his art on the street, but they'll need money faster, especially with a child on the way, and more so if they want to move on to a new home. Speaking of the husband, Brandan, I had to break down and get him a job.

Even her husband wouldn't promise to vote for her (how bad does that look to the public?), and he's been spending time protesting with her! I finally got the two votes needed to move on, but it took serious effort. The problem there is that as she's Good, I feel it'd be out of character to ask for bribes or make false promises, so if she wants to secure a vote, she has to chat people up into being Friends, and Promote Policies multiple times.

Then she had the career path choice, and I went Politician. Heck, she even got promoted the moment she went to work the next day. The early part of it wasn't a bit problem, going out and protesting and writing letters, all that jazz. I got to explore the politician career with Miko. Enjoyed Get To Work way more (although after finding it really repetitive I only really could continue playing with the Career Reimagined mod).ĭay 2 last night, but only about three hours or so because I figured sleep was a good idea (it was). That's why I'm on Sims 3 most of the time. Sims 4 is definitely the prettiest but getting fully immersed is hard. The dresses all look really pretty as usual. I'm an activist and loved that aspect of Generations, with the Rebel Social Group and stuff. I am curious about the Politician career and being an activist. Again, the text bubble issue may have interfered. Is it just me? It seemed so clunky and I'm like "what do I do?". Then quit playing because text bubble issue was annoying and I was still finding it hard to get into. But I know there are festivals and stuff so it should get better. So only two food trucks is pretty limited. Later, one of the closed foodtrucks was open so tried a curry (the tea foodtruck was then closed). Went to the Spice Market in the morning and there was one foodtruck open, just selling tea. They aren't crappy! They're all big and we don't have the crappy furniture like we have in Sims 3 University. Then I couldn't find any crappy studio apartments. It felt like the least user-friendly Sims experience. And I don't think that was because of the text issue. Have tried a fix so hopefully that works.įirst it took me forever to figure out how apartments work, which is occupied etc. Text was missing from a lot boxes, so I was a bit confused about things.
